Welcome! Late-Breaking News Lessons Update: Dates have been selected for Spring 2008 Immersion Weekends. Please click here for more information. Boathouse Update: Plans are in process to build a permanent boathouse for KRA. In the meantime KRA's quarters are at the Governor Ned McWherter/Riverside Landing Park. This park, located under and close by the South Knoxville Bridge, is a gateway to the calm waters upstream from downtown Knoxville. For more information about the park, click here. The boathouse will house KRA, its juniors program, and the UT Crew. Plans for the boathouse emphasize space, to accommodate growing demand, and simplicity, to keep costs down. Due to site and cost considerations, the new boathouse will be in the Ned McWherter/Riverside Landing Park rather than in the Scottish Pike River Park as previously planned. Membership fees may be paid online at Regatta Central. Click on "Clubs," then "KRA." Donations for the KRA boathouse construction are also accepted on Regatta Central. |

The Knoxville Rowing Association seeks to promote the sport of rowing through instruction and equipment use to area residents and by hosting nationally-recognized rowing competitions. The KRA provides rowing opportunities for people of all ages. The club involves area high school students through its Juniors Rowing Program. The Masters Division includes college-age and older. We have members that range in age from 21 to 70. KRA Adult and Juniors teams compete not only as hosts of the local regatta, but also in races in Oak Ridge, Atlanta, Charleston, Chattanooga and other southern regatta sites. Each year, KRA is proud to host the Head of the Tennessee Regatta, one of the largest fall rowing events in the United States. Sanctioned by USRowing, it is held in Sequoyah Hills park in October each year. We invite you to become a part of this ever-growing sport. Lessons are offered throughout the year. For general information about the club, call KRA at (865) 633-9214 and leave a message, or email us. The voice mail is checked regularly, but should not be used if you need to reach someone immediately. For information about our juniors team for high school students, please go to the Knoxville Rowing Association Juniors webpage. Our address is:
